How to get rid of yellow teeth?

Many people have stained or yellow teeth and they want to get dazzling white smile like others but for this you have to work. Person having yellow teeth is always connected with bad breath and poor cleanliness. So we can say that bright white smile is very important for your good appearance and impression.

First thing you have to do is to check that whether your teeth are really stained or yellow Because sometimes your teeth have natural yellow tint. So here you have to check that whether your all teeth are of same yellow color or some of them are dark and others are very light tinted. If they all are same then that is the natural color of your teeth but if the color is different then it is due to some other reasons.

Here are some ways by which you can get rid of yellow teeth or make your teeth whiter:-

WHITENING TOOTHPASTE, MOUTHWASH
Whitening toothpaste and mouthwash are the easiest way to get white teeth but they are effective only on very slightly stained or yellow teeth because the whitening agents present in these products remain on your teeth for a very short time. To get better results use these products regularly. Brush your teeth with these toothpastes at least twice a day and properly rinse with mouthwash for at least 30 to 60 seconds.

WHITENING STRIPS
These strips are very helpful to get white teeth as they contain whitening agent. All you have to do is to place the strip on your teeth. Don’t use these strips very frequently because they can make your teeth look slightly blue moreover they can cause slight pain in your gums and teeth. Whitening strips are not as effective on crooked or uneven teeth as on the even teeth because some parts of the teeth may remain untouched by the strip and the color of teeth may appear uneven.

PAINT ON BLEACH AND BLEACHING TRAY
This is a bleaching process. In this process we paint our teeth with bleaching product to cover the stained or yellow teeth. It is not much effective on badly stained or yellow teeth because some dark stains may appear after the bleach. It works well on mild and normal stained tooth. Also you have to be very careful while painting because if any uneven part of the tooth remains unpolished then there will be a color variation and it will not look good.
You can also use bleaching trays to bleach your teeth because it contains bleaching agent. Bleaching can cause gum discomfort or pain and for this you must go to your dentist.

Some people say that these products are not effective on the yellow teeth because yellow teeth are caused due to naturally occurring events in our bodies with the age. But if you really want to get rid of yellow teeth you can consult your dentist and can get better recommendations.

DENTAL VEENERS
This is another way to get white teeth. But veeners are fixed on the tooth surface only by the dentist moreover it lasts only for twelve to fifteen years. It needs proper care while fixing and afterwards also. Moreover it is an expensive way to get white teeth.

DENTAL HYGIENE
You can prevent getting yellow or stained teeth by properly brushing your teeth at least twice a day because more the food particles remain in the teeth more is the chance of getting yellow teeth. Avoid having any sweet food immediately before going to bed because it can really damage your teeth. Avoid having beverages that can stain your teeth.

HOME REMEDIES TO GET RID OF YELLOW TEETH:-

Rub the orange peel from inside on your teeth. This will help to get rid of yellow teeth.

Brush your teeth using baking soda with salt water. Be careful while using this mixture because it can cause pain in your mouth.

You can also use strawberry pulp for this purpose moreover its taste is far better than baking soda.

Vinegar mixed in water is another way to get rid of yellow teeth.

Before trying any home remedy you must consult your dentist.

CAUSES FOR STAINED OR YELLOW TEETH

Cigar, cigarettes and coffee are the most common reasons for stained and yellow teeth.

High amount of fluoride in drinking water may cause yellow teeth.

Drinking cold drinks or red wine

Tea and soda can also cause yellow teeth.

Sometimes yellow teeth are caused due to the worn tooth enamel which allows the dentin to get on the teeth; dentin is yellow in color so it may also change the color of your teeth.
